This is a staple weekend breakfast in our house. I always have these ingredients on hand and my family devours them. I love to top them with fresh berries, syrup and some whipped cream or powdered sugar occasionally.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Dash of salt

  • 5 Tablespoons butter

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F

  2. Grease a glass 9 x 13 dish with the butter. You can melt the butter then spread or I like to just cut into small cubes and put in the oven when its about half way heated up. This melts the butter and makes the pan nice and warm when you pour the egg mixture in.

  3. Mix eggs, milk, flour, vanilla and salt together very well

  4. Pour over the melted butter into the glass dish

  5. Bake for 23 - 26 minutes

  6. It will get nice and fluffy so be careful when pulling out to prevent it from falling.

  7. Serve immediately with syrup, fresh berries, sliced bananas, whipped cream, powder sugar or any other toppings you want

Tips

  • I blend the egg mixture in the blender vs mixing by hand. I find it gives them a better texture and ensures there are no lumps
