One Pan Sausage Pasta

This One Pan Sausage Pasta is the perfect quick meal for busy weeknights. I can throw it together in 20 minutes and I love that it cooks all in one pan for less dishes.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water

  • One box of spaghetti noodles

  • 10oz of cheer tomatoes, halved

  • 1 red onion, sliced

  • 1 cup of fresh basil, cut in ribbons

  • 4 cloves of garlic, sliced

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • 14oz sliced smoked sausage

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded


Steps

  1. In a large pan put everything but the cheese in, do your best to cover everything as much as possible under water so it cooks evenly.

  2. Turn the heat to low/medium, stir everything occasionally.

  3. Let it cook for 10 - 15 minutes until the noodles are fully cooked and most the water is gone.

  4. Add the parmesan cheese, mix generously and serve immediately.

  5. You can top with extra cheese if desired.


Tips

  • I prefer to use protein noodles to get a little extra protein added into this dish.
