This BBQ chicken is one of my favorites to throw in on busy days for dinner. This makes great BBQ Chicken Sandwiches and I love to save the leftovers for other meals during the week to make things like BBQ Chicken Pizza Wheels or on salads.

Ingredients

  • 1lb chicken breasts

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (I like Sweet Baby Rays)

  • 1/4 cup Italian dressing

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt to taste

  • Package of rolls

Steps

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot

  2. Salt the chicken lightly

  3. Mix the BBQ sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce together.

  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken

  5. Put the crockpot lid on and set to high for 4 hours.

  6. Once the chicken is cooked, shred with 2 forks or the paddle in your KitchenAid.

  7. Put the shredded chicken back into the crockpot and mix with the sauce well.

  8. Serve on buns and enjoy!

Tips

  • You can easily double or triple this recipe for a crowd or to have extra leftovers.

  • I will usually double and freeze part of the cooked chicken for quick nights to throw together other meals like BBQ chicken Pizza wheels or BBQ Chicken tostadas.
