This is the perfect scrumptious and quick weeknight dinner. I love that its light and simple but still very flavorful. This is also one of my favorites for leftover lunch the next day.

Ingredients
1.5lb of broccoli florets (about 3 small broccoli crowns)
3 cloves of garlic, minced
11oz of pre-cooked chicken sausage, (4 large links) sliced
12oz Tortellini
1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
6 Tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
Steps
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
In a large bowl combine the broccoli florets, minced garlic, 3 Tablespoons of olive oil and half of the dry seasonings (Onion powder, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper). Mix well and spread evenly onto a large baking sheet
Cook for 10 minutes
While the broccoli cooks slice the sausage and cook the tortellini according the to package instructions. Be sure to undercook the tortellini a few minutes as it will continue to cook more on the sheet pan but you don't want it to dry out.
Pull the broccoli mixture from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 450 degrees F.
Take the broccoli off the sheet pan into the same mixing bowl from earlier. Add the cooked tortellini, sliced sausage and remaining seasonings and olive oil to the mixing bowl. (Save some of the remaining olive oil to lightly coat the sheet pan the broccoli just came off of, this will have prevent the tortellini from sticking).
Take half the parmesan cheese and mix with everything generously and evenly.
Spread everything evenly back onto the sheet pan and top with the remaining parmesan cheese.
Put into the 450 degree oven for 12 - 15 minutes.
Serve immediately and enjoy! I like mine with breadsticks and a green salad.
Tips
I always just buy the pre bagged broccoli florets, it makes this meal just got that much quicker.
I really enjoy Trader Joes spinach stuffed Tortellini with this meal.
You could use frozen tortellini but be sure to not over cook before adding to the broccoli and sausage mixture.
